| 授業形態 | 演習 【 Course description 】 In this course, students will study the use and functions of spoken English through in-class activities and project work. The emphasis will be on both speaking and listening. Themes and topics in the class will be drawn from areas of contemporary interest. In-class activities and project work will be done usually in small groups and in pairs, as such groupings are those in which conversational English is usually used. We will concentrate on using English for accomplishing various tasks, such as getting information, confirming information, and demonstrating interest. Class size is limited to 30 students. 【 Evaluation 】 Language is multifaceted, and each language learner develops particular strengths when learning a language. In this class, grading will be based on attendance, participation, and formal, in-class evaluations. There will be several evaluation opportunities. Your grade will be drawn from five of the eight evaluations. The instructor will assign short readings from the textbook for this class, and there will be additional reading homework from handouts provided by the instructor.
